I started the deadjournal years ago as a joke. (Um, yikes, I just remembered that I started LJ in the 20th century.) But yes, I guess if the balance of my friends (or just you and bing_crosby would be enough) went to insanejournal I'd follow suit. How is it better?

Oh, it's the same. Unless you consider it a huge plus that communities are called "asylums." (Blech, though they are probably called crypts in deadjournal, or mass graves. I kind of hate LJ comms anyway...) It's just that that is where everyone seems to be going. I do love DJ's "we welcome your tired, your poor, your too emo (in the 13 yr old sense) for LJ..." statement though.

I have been ultra Facebook-resistant and use it solely for professional contacts, but rest assured I will figure out the security levels and add you if the end times come to LJ ;)

Well ok but now it's the fairy princes [us] who have to worry? This frustrates the hell out of me. Every reason for lj's 'failure' is one of the things that drew me to it in the first place.
